Flash-back to 2018 - were planning our daughter's first birthday party and finding activities that she would enjoy. She had just learned to walk a couple weeks prior, so we needed something that was safe for a tottering toddler. 

A family member living in California had suggested renting a soft play set. Not having a clue what soft play was, we took to the internet to find out. Ball pits, hoppers, slides, and foam blocks were all images that came up. We thought "Wow, this is perfect!" We searched for soft play rental options in Kansas City but the few rentals we found did not match the aesthetics of our party or home. We spoke to some suppliers for purchase options, but we couldn't get the equipment in time for the party and pricing was steep.
 

We almost gave up, but luckily found a white ball pit for rent. It was great! The neutral white looked amazing against the other party décor. The ball pit provided hours of entertainment for the kids, and our daughter loved it. But it could have been so much better if we’d had additional soft play equipment to give the kids more options to climb on, crawl cover, slide off of, and build using their creativity and imagination. After the birthday party, we re-visited the idea of bringing luxe soft play rentals to Kansas City.

That was the moment PLAY HAUS was conceived.
